People of this Month - BARAJ BHAGA
The Baraj Bhaga group of people lives in Bihar , Madhya Pradesh and also in some parts of Uttar Pradesh. There are about 16.4% people in this tribe. They speak Baraj Bhaga language. Among these people 94.8% are Hindus. They belong to Indo-Aryan generation and they follow the doctrine of Hinduism.
The major occupation of this tribal people is Priest in temples. In this people, Brahmins take control of all this pooja works even though they are less in number. Few people are fishermen and few are daily wagers. The good news about Jesus Christ has been shared with these people and only few have accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior. They wish for only one thing. That is to have Bible in their language.
