YOUTH SUICIDE 

            In every one’s life, the youth stage plays an important role. All the young ones want to achieve something extraordinary, but in this competitive world they find it very difficult and tough. Many young people are achieving great success but the other side many enter into the fear of facing failure and lose hope. This leads many towards committing suicide. Yes! Recently there is a rapid increase in the number of young people committing suicide.

            Due to lack of love, care and help and also increase in drug addiction, poverty and other bad habits, for every minute, a youth is trying to commit suicide in India. Moreover for every 6 hours a person dies out of this suicide attempts.

            In 2008, NCRB has released a census related to suicides. It says, 1,25,017 people have committed suicide and amongst them 45.7% were due to family problems, health conditions etc. in this suicide ratio, the death due to love failure captures the major part. The saddest part is, in India, for each day 10 youth die due to love failure alone. Similarly 8 per day die due to poverty and 6 per day die due to unemployment.

            The death ratio of girls due to love failure is higher that that of boys. In India, West Bengal takes the first place in the number of deaths through suicide. In the year 2008, 2730 people died due to drug addiction. The other reasons for suicide are work stress and the other problems faced in the work place. During the results of all final exams both in Schools and Colleges the ratio of suicide increases rapidly among youth.

            It is found that when 82% youth loves to talk about self, 76% of parents talk about jobs and other things. 48% of youth are thinking about suicide or they undergo fear of death. And these people plan for suicide or at least once they try doing it.

            Why these youth don’t have guts to face this world rather they kill themselves?

Yet there is no perfect answer for this!

1. The number of suicides should reduce in India.

2. The Parents should give importance and care to their children.

3. The people who long for love must taste the love of Christ.

4. Youth must take opportunity in their work stress and studies easily.

5. The youth should get rid of the suicidal thoughts.

6. Christian youth must live away from these suicide feelings

7. God should give patience & love, to these people who are leading the youth (parents, teachers, managers).

8. God should rule and take control of this competitive yet risky world.
