BIBLE TRANSLATION MINISTRY

In the World:

             There are 6912 languages in the world. In that, whole Bible is translated in 438 languages only. In 1168 languages New Testament alone has been translated. Similarly, in 848 languages few parts of Bible and in 2454 languages only few Bible verses has been translated. But in 2215 languages there is no Bible or even parts of Bible.

In Our India:                                                              

           In India overall 461 languages are there in which only 63 languages has fully translated Bible  and 57 languages has only New Testament. Currently the translation works on New Testament is being done in 91 languages. But still there are among 180 languages which don’t have Bible in India. All together in India there are 1652 languages being spoken but majority people come under these 461 languages.

FMPB: The vision of our organization is to translate Bible in 20 languages.                                                    

• In 11 languages Bible translation works are happening.
• In 4 languages New Testament has been translated and published.
• In 2 languages New Testament has to be published with in 2009-2010.
• Old Testament should be translated in 3 languages.
• Two new languages has been discovered for bible translation
• In 7 more languages bible translation works should be started soon.

Pray for.                                                                                                                                                       

1.       Target:
• 7 new languages to be found with in 2011
• 7 translators team must be selected within 2011
2.       The 11 Bible translating works which are happening and also for the Bible translating works for the newly found two languages.
3.       Pray that God should increase the Prayer warriors, financial needs to be met, and also for the other requirements like computers, two-wheelers etc..
4. Pray that God should bless the translators with Heavenly wisdom, knowledge and power to go ahead successfully in this tough and important work
