People Group of this month : KOCH
The Koch people groups are living among India ’s North east states such as Assam and Tripura. They speak Koch language and live in forests. These people’s status is poor but they have good character, respectful and hard working in nature. Their language was framed from the combined languages such as Barich and Tibet . During 19th century the Koch groups were ruling the parts of Bihar . The Koch groups were separated from the ‘Joy’ group of people. The other part of the people group is called ‘Saachi’. Majority of the people are Hindus and they marry within their group. They worship nature and their main occupation is Agriculture. They grew vegetables, cotton, and few spices in their lands. The other secondary occupations prevailed among this group are Carpentry, Goldsmith, Business. They live in the houses built with trees on mountain tops. Each village has their own leader.

- The poorness of this people should be exterminated
- The Bible to be translated in the KOCH language
- They should be blessed in their works
- The blind faith that prevails among the people should be removed
- A church should be constructed in their place
- Many full time missionaries should be raised to work among this people group.
