People Group of this month : KOCH

The Koch people groups are living among India’s North east states such as Assam and Tripura. They speak Koch language and live in forests. These people’s status is poor but they have good character, respectful and hard working in nature. Their language was framed from the combined languages such as Barich and Tibet. During 19^th century the Koch groups were ruling the parts of Bihar. The Koch groups were separated from the ‘Joy’ group of people. The other part of the people group is called ‘Saachi’. Majority of the people are Hindus and they marry within their group. They worship nature and their main occupation is Agriculture. They grew vegetables, cotton, and few spices in their lands. The other secondary occupations prevailed among this group are Carpentry, Goldsmith, Business. They live in the houses built with trees on mountain tops. Each village has their own leader.

Prayer Points:

8. The blind faith that prevails among the people should be removed

10. Many full time missionaries should be raised to work among this people group.

Fast n furious prayer

1. Indian Government has decided to cancel the permit of 44 universities. Pray that those Institutes educating power to be protected.

2. Pakistan has made many tunnels in the border of India. This shouldn’t create any chaos in the border.

3. In every 4.2 seconds, a cell phone is been stolen. Pray that these kinds of criminal activities to be reduced.

4. In India alone 2, 70,000 children are child prostitutes. Pray that this status should change and those children should know the love of Christ.

5. In Mumbai alone, the children between the age group of 12 to 20 are practiced for prostitution after their school hours. Please cry out to God for these children.

6. Each year around 2lakhs children (9-18 years) are being kidnapped from Nepal to India for prostitution. Pray that this should be stopped through some government Interventions.

7. In Chennai alone around 75,000 children are beggars. Pray for that this situation should change.

8. The Indian Govt. is spending approximately Rs. 19, 04,000,000 for the Indian army, Pray that it should be spent for a useful purpose.

9. In Indian army almost 11,446,452 youth are joining yearly. Pray that they should become great warriors.

10. 51Lakh people are suffering from AIDS in India.

11. 68% of youth (15-30 yrs) are using Internet to a greater extent. Pray that they should use it in a good manner.

12. The waste particles are being sent to the lakes. This spoils the food and water, Pray that the food and water should not be polluted.

13. 35% of them see only disgusting bad scenes through Internet,.

14. In one second, almost 7,224 new members are looking at those disgusting Adult scenes through Internet.

15. Pray for growing numbers of new Adult publishing in internet. It says daily around 266 new web publishing’s are created.

16. In the Sakha, land bribe news says an army chiefs are related. Pray that army people should lead a respected life.

17. The increase in cost of living is a big challenge for many families. So pray that the cost of living should be controlled.

18. May 23rd is planned to be a world united prayer day. Pray that all people should pray with clean heart and the spirit of unity.

19. Pray for the annual camp that will be held in danishpet, Salem from May 20-23.

20. Pray for the field visit of FMPB Tamil Nadu youth during May 26 to June 6th.

21. Pry for the Education system and its changes. It should reach the common man & should be accessible for them.

22. Pray that God should protect the people from this hot scorching sun.

23. Pray for the result of 10th & 12th students who have completed their final exams. God should bless each & every one abundantly with good marks.

24. Pray for the special youth meeting in Maharth that are planned to be held on May 29 & 30. God should bring great revival among those youth who are going to participate in that meeting.

25. Pray that the one day retreat that are to be held in May, in various places such as Nagerkoil, Saayamankulam, Maangudi, Chengalpet, Chennai, Mumbai.

26. This year youth wings targets are 600 prayer groups, 60 district leader and 20 full time missionaries. Pray that God should provide all this & give a great success.

27. In Chennai, there are 422 slum areas, where in 2, 72,000 families are living. Pray that the ministries among these slum areas should achieve a greater reap this year.

28. The UNO has warned that, in next 25 years there won’t be water to drink for 2 percent among 3percent people in this world. Please pray for this with a burden heart.

29. Pray for the believers (people) who are being tortured in the states such as Chattigarh & Karnataka.

30. Many women & kids are being kidnapped in Chennai. Please pray for this cheap situation to change.

FRIENDS MISSIONARY PRAYER BAND

It is necessary to pray for the missionaries of friends missionary prayer band, who with great efforts are carrying out these services in a godly manner. Pray for god’s grace to carry each one of them in their everyday endeavor. Also intercede that god’s guidance would lead them in their day to day trials. We have  to pray for our missionaries every month. so kindly intercede to our Lord with a burden in your heart.

 The almighty god has been working marvelous things in response to the prayers that we have been offering in groups every week. The Lord has been changing the hearts of people and moving the mighty mountains just for us. The efforts of friends missionary Prayer Band to prepare the Indians for the Lord’s second coming has been abundantly blessed. Praise the Lord for the wonders he worked for us till Dec.2009.

1.Pray that the opposition posed in the states of Karnatka,Maharaslutra, Madhya pradesh and Himachal pradesh be subsided.
2.The naxalites in Maharashtra and the Maoists in Jharkhand have been raising an opposition. Pray for this situatuion to change.
3.The false cases filed against our missionaries should be withdrawn.
4.Pray that god should protect our missionaries from all kinds of sickness and accidents.
5.Pray that god should provide funfs to make up for the deficit in the Jhakhand project wherin children are being educated.
6.For new mission fields to be established in Meghalya/ Ahdhra Pradesh and Tiripura.
7.Pray for new missionaries to rise up from among the newly won souls.
8.For new churches to be built in villages where there arn’t any chruches.
9.Pray for the following points regarding the malto community college.
        * For proper water facilities
        *Pray for the water scarcity to be solved and that the well would provide sufficient water.

MAY 1st WEEK PRAYER POINTS

The youngsters today dream of having a bright future ahead. They take part in several meetings and even make commitments to receive the lord’s blessings upon their life. And Such who have volunteered themselves for fulltime missions strive with a new vision. They face lot of hurdles and barriers and are even discouraged by trials and troubles. In this computer era only a few hold on to their commitment of serving fulltime. They lead a simple life and consider carrying the cross as the greatest privilege. They put in all the efforts to achieve for lord. Hence it is our duty to pray for all those youngsters who have dedicated themselves for fulltime.

• Pray that the youth should not succumb to the temptations of this world but instead lead a holy life.
• Let their commitment be their heart’s desire and not just an emotional outbreak.

·         The percentage of infanticide in Madhya Pradesh is  quite high. Pray that god should help the parents and society to raise up the children with wisdom.
·         Pray for peace the nations of the world and also that should ban the use of destruction weapons.
·         Several people die due to severe illness and even more are suffering with it. Pray that god would stretch his healing hand upon them
