March "the Month Of Exams".....

                    Often our students think that it would be better if there are no exams in the curriculum. Even the students are so lethargic about exams but the parents fear about it. It can be said that parents are watchful to wake up their children and care for them during exams is something that nobody can enjoy. There is no one to help the children of our missionaries but the angel of our God is always beside them. Our missionaries who preach the word of god in the hills and forest trust only their God by bending their knees than any other thing for their children, they pray earnestly to our lord to provide their children the required wisdom. Most of the children of our missionaries’ children stay in hostel and study. Pray for these children to learn things in a good manner when they study with their friends. Pray especially for the children of our missionaries who are in their 10th and 12th standard. We greet them to score high and purse higher education and their career. Pray earnestly for the youth prayer cell friends and for those who belong to the prayer cell in TamilNadu, pondichery and other states.

General paper points

• The Tamil Nadu government has enacted a law stating that it is the responsibility of the children to care for their older parents. Pray for the protection of the elderly.
• A plan is made in Tamil Nadu to transform all huts into concrete houses. Pray for this that it should be implemented.

March First week Prayer Points

Kumba Mela…… Kumbal Mela……….

People use everything that is created by God in different ways. They started with trees, stone and even the rivers and ponds. Indians feel great on hearing the name Ganga as of now, even a drop of water from that river can be considered poisonous because of pollution. It is so pity that still people do not recognize the condition.

The festival “Kumbamela”is celebrated for 45 days in four important parts of India. This fest is considered to be the festival that is celebrated to be the festival that is celebrated with huge population (‘Kumba’ means pot, ‘Mela means fair) Great kumbha mela is celebrated once in 12 years in four places. This year 2010 from 14 Jan it is celebrated in haridwar of U.P. Nearly 15 million people gathered and worshiped their god everyday. People from all over the world rushed to this place to celebrate this festival. Many private and non-profit organizations advertise in number of ways to attract people who gather in this eve. They also offer accommodation facilities and tour packages to the travelers. Ambulance services, vehicles and hospital were available in Haridwar round the clock. People gathered in large numbers to visit the Naga Sadhus. They consider that seeing these people as most sacred. These sadhus are naked having long hair; they are seen applying ash all over the body. They are seen wearing a holy chain “ Ruthraksha “ around their neck. There are 1000 beads in that chain, they believe that evil spirits can be cast off from men on wearing this chain. They also believe that if they wear 11,000 beads, they will be transformed as “Sankara”a Hindu god.

In 2013, next Kumbamela is planned to be celebrated in Prayak of U.P. These people boast that they are Indians with all these kinds of superstitions. It is our foremost duty to pray our living god for these people

 Prayer Points:

• For people to realize the emptiness in the kumbamela that is celebrated at present.
• For the superstitious beliefs of the people to vanish.
• For gospel to reach the non governmental organization and other organization working there.
• For people to realize that the river is polluted.
• For the Naga Sadhu to know Jesus Christ.
• For the destruction of the power of the alien Gods
• For Gods anger on India to be removed.
• Pray that non governmental organization to come forward and establish hospitals and transport facilities to the villages where there are no such facilities.
• For Gods power to be revealed on 15,16,24,30 of March and 14 &28^th of April for they consider these dates to be holy to take Holy Bath.

General Prayer Points:

• The central government has promised that May 2010 the Right for compulsory free education law will be enforced for children between 6-14 in the High court.
• Information has been received that 700 terrorists have planned to enter Jammu and Kashmir. Pray for the terrorist activities to be stopped in India.
• For the good news to reach quickly to 40 million people who claim themselves that they belong to higher class.

Pray for FMPB Prayer Cells....

                     The back bone of Friends missionary prayer band is the Prayer cells. If there is no prayer then there is nothing called FMPB. FMPB is a missionary organization which is originated by two praying friends. The prayer cells for youths have been conducted since 1973.Many missionaries have been risen from these prayer cells. The main reason for the success in mission field is the commitment of Young Leaders like you who are bending the Knees for the nation and making other to do the same.

Prayer Points:

1. For the prayer cells to be conducted without fail
2. For the family members of these Prayer cell Leaders and members
3. New member should be added to the existing prayer cells
4. Prayer cells should be multiplied in numbers
5. The Burden for the nation should be poured on these cells
6. For Oneness in Christ and Holy Life of the Prayer cell members
7. For their Studies , occupation and Personal Life
8. Many Missionaries should be raised

 Chattisgary

The people of chattisgary tribe were 11 million and they were settled around Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa. They belong to the indo Arian family. Chattisgary People spokes Thlir language. They were mostly Brahmins and they were gurus. Among these 11 million only 33,077 were believers. The population of the people was high and there is a need for more number of missionarie

Prayer Points:

1. God should raise missionaries to work among these people
2. The chattisgary people should accept Christ as savior
3. For Bible being translated in this language
4. Spiritual strengthening of the believers

                     Man searches for god when everything around him became dark and when he has no faith in this world. Usually a man does not need anyone even God when he has everything and when he is rich enough to live in this world. But now-a-days inn this technological world due to various factors man searches for peace and so he searches for god. And by this way they believe in some superstitious believes with a thirst to get the peace what they need. They spend lot of money in these things. Every year the believers to the Sabarimalai are increasing, 10,000 were walking towards sabarimalai daily. The modern youth of today’s world are going in search of their role models and favorite stars. Even the cricket stars and the cinema stars go in search of gurus to get blessings and peace in their life. In India now a day’s many business people are searching for God to get peace. It is really amazing that the enhancement in technology made the people to come closer to god. But not towards the Savior of their world Jesus Christ but towards the destroyer through some superstitious believes and innocence.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Pray for the superstitious believers and innocence of the people of our nation.

2. For the acceptance of our Savior Jesus Christ by the people of India.

ROADS, HIGHWAY

TO DEATH

The technology has turned the bicycle into airplane, Cars and so on. The knowledge of the man is reaching its peak and the life style becomes very different and everyone is busy with their work at every time. In spite of these developments the days of the man in this world becomes too small.

There is an increase in the accidents. In India for ever hour, 13 people lose their life because of accidents. 250 lose their life daily. Monthly 1, 14,590 lose their life and among them85% of them are working men and 70% of them are working women.
A research says that increase in 10% of speed increase the rate of accidents by 30%. The main cause of these accidents was due to the violation of the rulers of wearing helmets, taking in mobiles while driving and so on.
Having passion towards money some officials are providing license for the people who does not drive properly. This leads to most of the accidents.

PRAYER POINTS

1. People should follow the rules and they should wear helmet.
2. For the drunkards who are driving the vehicle
3. For the people who are using mobile phones while driving.
4. For the immediate first aid for the people who met with the accident.
5. For the drivers to reduce the speed of driving.
6. For the officials to provide license to the people according to the rules.
7. for the roads to be constructed perfectly to avoid accidents.

1.       39% of Women and 35% of Men in India are affected by AIDS.

2.       Maharashtra ranks 1st in AIDS affected State with the percentage of 17.91.

3.       Pray for eradication of sexual immorality in the state.

4.       Manipur ranks 2^nd in AIDS affected state with the percentage of 13.07.

5.       Pray for the transformation of the youth in this state.

6.       Teenagers of our country are more prone to this disease.

7.       In TamilNadu 4.68% of people are affected especially Lorry Drivers are the affected lot.

8.       Pray for their realization of Holy life.

9.       Girl Students indulge in part  time prostitution for the basic reason of earning more money at Mumbai.

10.   Pray that they should lead a Holy life.

11.   Pray that such spirits of Immoral desires, to be cast away from our

Nation.

12.   Pray that the Government should enforce laws against Sexual Indulgence in our country.

13.   Pray that parents should truly love their children and children should heed to the words of their parents.

14.Pray for the Copenhagen Summit which has recently ended without any concrete deal between the developed and the developing Nations.

15. Pray that the Christmas celebration should be meaningful, and the New Year be a blessed one for all.
