Now a day’s people of the world call Homosexuality as “safe sex”. But The Holy Bible never speaks of safe sex but only sacred sex, i.e. being with the right person. As in the above verse God says Homosexuality is detestable, an abomination. Detestable means more than wickedness and perversion, which God could never tolerate. To understand the depth of Gods hatred towards homosexuality: Sin is breaking the Law and abomination is breaking the Law plus more and more crime.
What people call weakness, God calls it sin; what people call defect, God calls it disease; what people call liberty, God calls it carelessness; what people call mistake, God calls it madness; to what people say OK, God say NOT OK; what a worldly judge says ‘is lawful’, the heavenly Judge says, it is ‘unlawful’.
Once homosexuality was practiced ‘Secretly’ [14/15 Roman emperors were homosexuals], in recent days it roams around as ‘Socially’, sadly to our horror pulpit [certain churches] preaches it as ‘Spirituality’.
Homosexuality is
1) Unscriptural
The Bible never acknowledged Homosexuality and never will. If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them has done what is detestable Leviticus 20:13 and Leviticus 18:22 strongly condemns and proclaims it is NOT of scripture.
2) Unnatural
Homosexuality clearly contradicts the laws of nature. In fact man was not created for man so do woman. “… Even women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones [lesbianism]. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another” Rom 1: 26.27. The verse claims both lesbianism and homosexuality to be indecent and perversion.
3) Unsafe
It defiles the body, which is the Temple of the living God. Homosexuality [HS] shuts the door for Holiness and leads in the way of Darkness. Keenly it has no purpose.
4) Unsatisfying
.. all the men from every part of the city of Sodom – both young and old – surrounded the house. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to so that we can have sex with them” Genesis 19:4. Miserably men of Sodom both young and old had been in HS so far, but were not satisfied, proving it to be unsatisfying. When they saw two new men they wanted for more, which became one of the major causes for the destruction of Sodom.
5) Uncontrollable
Genesis 19:9 onwards measures the uncontrollable want of their filthy sexual desire. Lot pleads to the men of Sodom to give his virgin daughters to be with these men [What a father!], but they were uncontrollably stubborn to be with men. You know fire flooded the city.
Homosexuality is more than a Sin, a detestable act before the Holy God. Condemn the act, not the people. To encounter these people be firm in your Conviction, be fair in your Compassion and be faithful to the Call. Good news is that Jesus Christ bled, died and rose again to give you victory over the Sin. Repent for this is what the Bible says, “… for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom; it would have remained until this day. Matt 11: 23”. It means they were not given the opportunity you have got today, so be careful of what you have got. Jesus Christ is all set to accept the one who wants to lead a Holy life, which Jesus alone could render.
